The UN Global Compact has expressed concern about the likelihood of achieving gender equality by 2030. Current data reveal a significant gap: only 4% of women live in countries where equality is almost fully achieved, while no economy guarantees full equality of economic opportunity.
This gap represents not only a social concern, but also a structural constraint to growth, as closing it could increase global GDP by more than 20%. In light of these trends, new international initiatives are needed to promote a more structured approach.
Our mission:
To this end, the United Nations Global Compact has launched the Target Gender Equality program, an operational tool designed to support companies in integrating gender equality into their business strategies.
