Carlos is a distinguished lawyer who advises both international and local clients on business transactions in Venezuela. His experience includes corporate transactions such as joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, foreign investments, financial transactions and contracts with public sector entities. Prior to founding Nevett & Mezquita (now Ontier Venezuela) in Caracas in 1992, Carlos worked as an associate at Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue in New York. His fluency in Spanish, English and French enhances his ability to function effectively in diverse legal environments. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University. Law degree, cum laude, from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello. LL.M. from Harvard Law School as a Fulbright Scholar. Member of the American Bar Association.
